(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Head of Ahrar Parliamentary Bloc Baha' al-Araji said today that the Sadrist delegation will not participate in the Turkish Party Congress due to the presence of vice-president Tariq al-Hashimi.
In a press statement, he added that his bloc will not participate due to the presence of Hashimi, which "is contrary to international norms, because he is wanted in his country and sentenced to death penalty".
Hashimi is residing with his family in Turkey since his departure from Arbil last April, under Turkish government protection.
Iraqi Criminal Court sentenced Hashimi with death verdict for killing a lawyer and a general.
